On August 17th, Anne and Julian brought their vision of a high-end summer wedding in Maine to life at Hardy Farm. Their day was filled with elegance, natural beauty, and personal touches, making full use of the property’s many unique spaces—from our peaceful woodland chapel to the gardens bursting with summer blooms.
A Romantic Woodland Chapel Ceremony
The celebration began in our woodland chapel, where tall trees and filtered sunlight created a serene, intimate setting for the vows. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple’s ceremony felt deeply personal and timeless. Guests were able to enjoy the natural beauty of the Maine forest while still being steps away from the reception spaces.
Cocktail Hour in the Gardens
After the ceremony, guests moved to the gardens at Hardy Farm, which were in full August bloom. The gardens, lovingly tended for decades, made a stunning backdrop for cocktail hour photos. Lush floral borders, the stone courtyard, and the surrounding mountain views made every moment picture-perfect.
A Sailcloth Tent Reception to Remember
The reception took place under our custom 103’ sailcloth tent, offering the perfect mix of rustic charm and sophisticated style. Long farm tables and padded chairs for up to 150 guests were set beneath a soft, translucent canopy, allowing natural light to filter in as guests enjoyed dinner. The layout gave plenty of space for a live band and an open dance floor, keeping the energy high all night long.

Every detail of Anne and Julian’s day embraced the essence of a Maine destination wedding—the forest, the gardens, the tented reception, and the sense of seclusion Hardy Farm offers. With the White Mountains of Maine as their backdrop, their wedding was a perfect blend of refined style and natural beauty, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
