As the wedding season wraps up, we look forward to our second favorite season of the year… engagement season! Weddingwire confirms what many of us know, or see on social media, that 40% of engagements occur between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day.

This increased spike in engagements could be for lots of reasons. Lots of people are looking forward to celebrating the holidays with family and friends and want the opportunity to share the happy news with them.

The focus on family during the holidays can also spur couples to think about their own families.

Often people have more time off and travel more around the holidays, making room for special evenings, weekends, and time away for a romantic proposal.

It could just be the holiday good moods and cheer that are encouraging folks to pop the question. For couples in our neck of the woods – heck, it could be a distraction from winter.

No matter the reason, we love seeing and hearing about people’s proposals during this season for romance!

Happy engagement season!
