This time of year, the thoughts of Spring dip into our thoughts more and more.

We know we have talked about Spring weddings’ benefits before, but after lots of conversations with couples lately, we wanted to share a few more beautiful aspects of a Maine spring wedding.

Spring is Exciting

After a long winter’s nap, people have a fun energy in the spring. As soon as the snow melts, we look forward to what a Maine spring and summer have to offer. Your wedding could be the event to kick off the summer season. It could also be easier for people to travel in the spring before the busy summer months.

Don’t Sweat the Weather

Hardy Farm is uniquely prepared for anything Mother Nature has in store. We will work with you for Plan B, so you know you are getting the wedding you want, no matter the weather. An outdoor ceremony can be moved inside our elegant barn. Starting in May, our Sailcloth tent goes up, so even a large wedding is ready for anything. We also have our fire pit for your guests to warm up.

Embrace the weather with your wedding party and guests. You can offer wardrobe suggestions to your guests on your wedding website. Have a few clear umbrellas on deck if they are needed. They make for the cutest photos. We have also seen guests put out baskets of hand warmers and we have seen some adorable bridesmaids in bright rain boots.

Celebrate the Season

Lean into everything spring has to offer. Bring in spring decor or pastel color palettes. Enjoy the beauty of spring flowers like lilacs, peonies, and daffodils. You could even offer seed packets as wedding favors for your guests. Spring menus are always delicious with fresh greens and vegetables to highlight.
