We are excited to share that the Tent at Hardy Farm just went up!  This officially marks the start of another beautiful season of weddings here in Maine!  Yesterday, 4 hard working Sperry Tent employees arrived at Hardy Farm on a perfectly lovely (and warm!) spring morning, and got right to work around 10:00am.  By 2:00pm they were done and the tent was up!  It was pretty impressive to see the poles being raised! 

Our beautiful 103’ sailcloth tent is a sophisticated, thoughtfully conceived piece of fabric art–marked by handcrafted spruce masts and side poles, and nautical design cues.  In addition to our beautiful farm tables and matching padded chairs for up to 150 people (available year-round at no charge), our dramatic tent is also included at no additional charge seasonally from May through October.

A sailcloth tent really offers a great blend of elegance, versatility, and durability for your reception. The translucent fabric has a natural, organic look, with its high peaks and swooping curves, creating a unique and visually stunning event space,  allowing soft, diffused light to filter through– all creating a warm and inviting ambiance. All of this adds to a sense of romance and adventure while providing protection from the elements.  Our tent has drop down clear side panels that can be used if needed.  

Our tent creates the perfect location for your wedding dinner and reception. There’s ample room for a lounge or a dance floor to occupy the space that your chairs and tables don’t use. There is a curtain wall that creates a large catering area with ample separate power and access to potable water.  Illuminated after dark with LED up-lights that light the underside of the top. the tent also provides numerous additional power sources for any type of decorative lighting you envision. 

The Tent at Hardy Farm sits nestled into a beautiful wooded setting, only steps from our Woodland Chapel and overlooking  the rustic whitewashed barn.  A wooden footbridge leads wedding guests, the wedding party and the bride and groom to the tent.  It’s all about making an entrance, and that’s exactly what you can do when you enter our tent!  And one of the beauties of hosting a tent wedding is that you can make it suit your vision perfectly!
