From bar signs to wedding programs to seating charts and so much more, chalkboards are an extremely versatile decor item for your Maine barn wedding ceremony and reception.  Available at most craft and hardware stores, chalkboard paint is easy as pie.  For a quick DIY chalkboard sign, simply find an old frame (size is up to you!), paint the glass with 2 coats of chalkboard paint, wait for it to dry, cure it (by rubbing the side of a piece of chalk all along the surface and then wiping clean) and write whatever you want! We love the idea of using stencils and tape to make shapes on glasses (mason jars, anyone?) or pieces of wood for table numbers and as an alternative to traditional escort cards.
